There is a correlation between the right mix of nutrition (dog food), growth, weight gain at the right pace, and the development of a healthy animal. We continue to monitor Dolce Mia's weight to insure that her growth rate is consistent with the breed, and expectations.
Dolce Mia eats IAMS Puppy for large breeds. Is this better than any other? We are not sure, but the breeder recommended it because it was easier to get than what she was using. The DVM didn;t have any real preference. He sold a different brand, but didn't feel that one was significantly better than the other.

*Note: At approximately six months of age, we believe her to be at about 80-90% of her adult weight and height. We are projecting anything between 75-85 lbs. The DVM believes she will be 85--90 lbs.

Depending on the dog, activity, etc. determines the need for vitamins and minerals. As in all cases, a proper diet insures the appropriate amount of vitamins and minerals. Often as people we do not have a very good handle on it, however, animals are more likely to get good nutrition, if you feed them the proper food.

We have been very happy with Dolce Mia's growth, health, and coat. She is still on IAMS Large Puppies. Will keep you posted on how she does with IAMS Regular Dog Food which starts after 12 Months.
